Telecommunication procurement is the process of acquiring products and services related to telecommunications, such as equipment, software, and network services. We have an expertise in all network and infrastructure segments, including processes from RND, operations, sales and support.
Some of the challenges that organizations may face in telecommunication procurement include:
-
Rapidly evolving technology: Telecommunications technology is constantly changing and improving, which can make it difficult for organizations to keep up and make informed procurement decisions.
-
Complex contracts: Telecommunications contracts can be complex and may include multiple service levels, pricing structures, and terms and conditions. Understanding and negotiating these contracts can be challenging.
-
Vendor selection: Selecting the right vendor can be difficult, as there are many vendors offering similar products and services. Organizations must carefully evaluate potential vendors to ensure that they meet their needs and budget requirements.
-
Cost management: Telecommunications expenses can be significant and can quickly add up. Organizations must carefully manage costs and ensure that they are getting the best value for their investment.
-
Integration with existing infrastructure: Telecommunications products and services must be seamlessly integrated with existing infrastructure to ensure that they work effectively. This can be challenging, especially when working with multiple vendors.
-
Security: Telecommunications networks and equipment can be vulnerable to cyber threats. Organizations must take steps to ensure that their telecommunications infrastructure is secure and that vendors are following best practices for security.
Circular economy supply chain planning refers to the design and management of supply chains that prioritize circular economy principles. A circular economy is an economic system that aims to keep resources in use for as long as possible by minimizing waste, reducing the consumption of finite resources, and maximizing the use of renewable resources. Circular economy supply chain planning involves the implementation of strategies and practices that enable the reuse, refurbishment, and recycling of products and materials, as well as the minimization of waste and the reduction of environmental impact. This requires collaboration and coordination across the entire supply chain, from the sourcing of raw materials to the delivery of products to end-users.
Circular economy supply chain planning can involve a range of activities, including:
-
Designing products for circularity, such as using recyclable or reusable materials and designing products for disassembly and refurbishment.
-
Developing closed-loop supply chains that enable the recovery and reuse of materials and products.
-
Implementing waste reduction and elimination strategies, such as lean manufacturing and supply chain optimization.
-
Creating circular business models, such as product-as-a-service or leasing models, which prioritize the long-term use and value of products rather than their ownership.
-
Partnering with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to create a collaborative circular ecosystem.
Overall, circular economy supply chain planning aims to create a more sustainable and resilient supply chain that benefits both the environment and the business. Businesses may benefit from working with Lika and our partners to ensure a successful circular economy supply chain planning.
Business to cloud migration is the process of transferring an organization’s applications, data, and infrastructure from an on-premises environment to a cloud-based platform, or hybrid. To ensure a successful migration, businesses may need support from different partners, like cloud service providers or third-party consultants. Cloud service providers can offer tools and services that facilitate the migration process, such as cloud-based storage and computing resources, data transfer services, and application hosting. Lika as third-party consultant can provide additional support, such as helping businesses determine which cloud platform is best suited for their needs, designing and implementing a migration plan, and providing ongoing maintenance and support. Cloud consultancy service can help businesses determine the best cloud computing solutions for their needs by analyzing their existing infrastructure, business requirements, and budgets. During the migration phase, we can assist with data migration, application deployment, and infrastructure configuration. We may also provide training to help employees adapt to the new cloud environment and ensure that the organization’s operations continue smoothly. After the migration, we can continue to provide ongoing support and optimization services, including monitoring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant security and regulatory standards.
The transformation of business to the cloud, while beneficial in many ways, can also present some challenges. Here are a few common challenges that businesses may face:
-
Security: One of the biggest concerns with cloud computing is security. Businesses need to ensure that their data is properly protected and that security protocols are in place to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
-
Integration: Moving to the cloud often requires integrating existing systems with new cloud-based applications. This can be complex and require significant resources to ensure seamless integration.
-
Cost: While cloud computing can reduce costs in the long term, there may be upfront costs associated with migrating to the cloud, as well as ongoing costs for maintenance and upgrades.
-
Governance and compliance: Compliance regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA and others, must be addressed when moving data to the cloud.
-
Data migration and management: Moving data to the cloud can be time-consuming and require careful planning to ensure that data is properly migrated and managed.
-
Connectivity: Businesses must ensure they have the appropriate network infrastructure to support cloud-based applications and services.
Overcoming these challenges requires careful planning, strategy, and execution. Businesses may benefit from working with experienced cloud service providers and Lika with our network of partners as to ensure a successful transition of the business to the cloud.
A cognitive network is a type of wireless network that uses advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms to optimize its performance and efficiency. In a cognitive network, network devices and infrastructure are equipped with cognitive capabilities, allowing them to learn and adapt to changing conditions in the network environment. For example, a cognitive network can use machine learning algorithms to predict network traffic patterns and adjust network resources accordingly, resulting in improved network performance and reduced congestion. Cognitive networks can also optimize their use of available frequencies by dynamically sensing and selecting the best available frequency band for data transmission. This makes cognitive networks more resilient to interference and allows for better utilization of available frequency spectrum. Cognitive networks have a wide range of applications, including in wireless communication systems, internet of things (IoT) devices, and autonomous vehicles. They have the potential to revolutionize wireless networks by improving their efficiency, reliability, and security through the use of advanced AI and ML algorithms.
One of the key challenges in migrating to a cognitive network is the need for significant investments in research and development to create the necessary technology and infrastructure. This includes developing new cognitive network architectures, designing intelligent algorithms, and integrating new hardware and software components.
Another challenge is the need to ensure interoperability between different networks and devices. Cognitive networks need to be able to communicate with traditional networks and devices that may not be equipped with the necessary intelligence or capabilities.
Additionally, there are security and privacy concerns associated with cognitive networks, particularly in terms of the potential for unauthorized access or manipulation of network data. Ensuring the security and privacy of cognitive networks requires robust authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
Overall, the migration to cognitive networks represents a significant technological and logistical challenge, but the potential benefits in terms of improved performance, efficiency, and intelligence make it an area of ongoing research and development.
Experts from Lika have more then 20years of experience from different telecommunication migration projects and our passion is in the research and development of cognitive networks for our partners.
One of the biggest challenges in IoT (Internet of Things) is cybersecurity. With the increasing number of connected devices, there is a greater risk of cyberattacks and data breaches, which can have significant consequences for businesses and individuals. Here are some specific IoT cybersecurity challenges:
-
Device vulnerabilities: Many IoT devices are designed with little to no security features, making them vulnerable to attacks. Additionally, these devices may not receive regular software updates and patches, leaving them exposed to new vulnerabilities.
-
Data privacy: IoT devices can collect vast amounts of sensitive data, such as personal and financial information. It’s crucial to ensure that this data is properly secured and protected from unauthorized access.
-
Network security: IoT devices are often connected to the internet and other devices, creating a larger attack surface. This means that businesses need to ensure that their network security is robust enough to protect against potential attacks.
-
Lack of standardization: With so many different IoT devices and platforms, there is a lack of standardization in terms of security protocols and best practices. This can make it difficult to ensure that all devices are properly secured.
-
Human error: As with any security system, human error can also be a challenge. For example, users may use weak passwords, fail to update software, or fall victim to phishing attacks.
To address these challenges, businesses must take a proactive approach to IoT cybersecurity. This includes implementing strong security measures, regularly updating software and firmware, and providing ongoing training to employees and users to ensure that they understand the importance of good cybersecurity practices.
